What it is

Cash status shouldn't arrive as history.

Most institutions know their cash position the way they know last month's weather. The number exists, it's accurate, and it describes a moment that has already passed — because producing it means pulling from the ERP, the finance system, and campus records by hand, reconciling them, and formatting the result for whoever asked.

Scaffold DataX centralizes cash data into a governed framework aligned to your month-end close. The same automated extraction, normalization, and transformation that builds your institutional data warehouse builds your cash reporting — so the position leadership sees is current, consistent across campuses, and traceable to the source record.

What you get

From manual close to right-time visibility.

DataX connects to the systems where financial data already lives, reconciles the definitions once, and refreshes on a cadence built around how your institution actually closes the month.

  1. Automated Ingest

    Cash Data, Centralized Automatically

Patented technology pulls financial data from your ERP, finance system, and campus sources — including Workday and Banner — through public and private APIs. No manual compilation, no spreadsheet assembly, no waiting on a person to be back from leave.

  2. Governed Framework

    One Definition of Cash Position

Cash position is defined once, in the model, and every dashboard and report inherits that definition. Campus numbers and system numbers reconcile because they're drawn from the same governed record.

  3. Close Alignment

    Built Around Month-End

Reporting cadence is aligned to your close timeline rather than running against it. Finance teams get the position when the calendar calls for it, not weeks after.

  4. Dashboards

    Campus and System Views

The same governed data at two altitudes: institution-level detail for the finance team, consolidated visibility for the system office and the board. One source, two audiences, no reconciliation meeting.

  5. Financial Health

    Trends, Not Just Totals

Track cash position and sustainability over time by campus and by program. Monitor budget variance as it develops instead of discovering it in a quarterly review.

  6. Audit Lineage

    Traceable to the Source

Every figure traces back to the record it came from. When an auditor, a board member, or a CBO asks where a number originated, the answer is a lookup rather than an investigation.

Customer proof

Built with a finance team, for a board that asked.

In January 2026, the University of Louisiana System Board of Regents directed its institutions to automate manual, time-consuming financial processes and provide right-time access to cash status.

The University of Louisiana Monroe built the answer on DataX. ULM's finance team participated directly in the design, development, and validation of the cash reporting blueprint — not as reviewers at the end, but as authors of it. The blueprint centralizes cash data into a governed framework aligned to month-end close timelines.

Cash reporting dashboards are now live at both the ULM and UL System levels, giving the Board the timely, trusted view of institutional financial health it asked for.
